Problem Narrative for a Simple Tuition Problem
This program will allow users to calculate the tuition of one student. The inputs will consist of the
number of hours the student is taking and his or her residency status. The output will be the tuition cost.
To calculate the tuition the following ruless will be used:
- if the student is a resident and is taking less than 12 hours:
- multiply each credit hour by $62.25
- if the student is a resident and is taking 12 - 18 hours:
- the tuition is $815.00
- if the student is a resident and is taking more than 18 hours:
- the tuition is $815 + $70.50 for each credit hour over 18
- if the student is a non-resident and is taking less than 12 hours:
- multiply each credit hour by $105.25
- if the student is a nonresident and is taking 12 - 18 hours:
- the tuition is $1350.00
- if the student is a non-resident and is taking more than 18 hours
- the tuition is $1350.00+ $120.75 for each credit hour over 18
